Heels get Crushed

UNC lost last night to Syracuse in the NIT Final 87 to 71. Although UNC is a very talented team with an abundant of potential, they had to replace 4 starters and are extremely young and unexperienced. Syracuse was very impressive in the second half. UNC was leading 39-37 at halftime, but the Cuse started the second half with a bang. They went on a 20-1 run and never looked back. With emphatic dunks and big three drains, they got the Syracuse crowd into it as this was practically a home game for them. UNC tried to make a run and got within 8 points under 10 minutes, but their lack of experience cost them. We learned alot about Syracuse and their ability to run, shoot, play defense and rebound. As for UNC, they play the toughest schedule in the NCAA and will get their fair share of losses, but if they can get it together by tournament time, they have the talent to reach the Final Four.
