Irving Leads #5 Ranked Recruiting Class
Last Thursday, Coach K announced the signings of upcoming freshmen Kyrie Irving, Josh Hairston, and Tyler Thorton. These 3 big signings gives Duke the #5 rated recruiting class of 2010, according to recruiting website rivals.com. Kyrie Irving is ranked 5th in the nation and 2nd among point guards. He is expected to be one of the best point guards to ever come out of New Jersey, and that is really saying something especially when All-Time NCAA assist leader Bobby Hurley and 2001 Player of the Year Jason Williams both came out of New Jersey. Josh Hairston is a 4 star PF from Spotsylvania and Tyler Thorton is a 3 star PG from Washington, D.C. Coach K is really pressing to obtain PF Roscoe Smith from Oak Hill Academy. Smith is ranked 31 in the nation and is also considering Conneticut and Georgetown, but many think Duke is the leadig candidate right now.
