Roscoe Smith Update
As you all know, Duke had a huge loss three weeks ago when UNC signed scout.com's #1 ranked recruit in 2010 class, Harrison Barnes. Duke already has a great class with Tyler Thorton, Josh Hairston, and Kyrie Irving. After Barnes' announcement, the only possible recruit Duke had interest in was Oak Hill Academy player Roscoe Smith. He's in the top 50 for both Rivals.com and Scout.com. He already announced that his three top schools were Duke, UConn, and Georgetown. It's all up in the air right now, but many people think that Duke beating UConn helped this recruiting story for Duke. That may be true, but mainly because Coach K out coached Calhoun and Calhoun looked like an idiot when he got the technical foul. One basketball game shouldn't change a big time recruit's decision, but you never know at this point. people are starting to believe that it's betweeen Duke and UConn, ruling out Georgetown. Roscoe Smith hasn't said anything yet, so Duke fans, don't lose hope or get to excited yet. He will make a decision pretty soon. This would be a god recruit for Duke, let's hope he doesn't go the Big East and he plays in Cameron next year with a Duke jersey on. More will come on this recruiting story, when we obtain more info.
